A 100 sq. ft. office. A team of three. A vision that design should feel personal.
In a small corner office filled with mood boards, chai mugs, and unshakable passion, Lines & Grooves was born.
We celebrated birthdays around one table, shared late-night edits, and poured ourselves into every square foot we designed — treating each client’s space like it was our own.
We Grew, But Stayed Grounded

With a strong foundation in architecture and an innate sensitivity to space and emotion, Khilti brings over a decade of experience in creating homes and environments that feel effortless, elegant, and deeply personal. Her journey began in a modest 100 sq. ft. cabin with a vision that design should be rooted in human connection, not just aesthetic trends. Her approach blends modern minimalism with Indian cultural richness, resulting in spaces that feel globally refined yet soulfully grounded. From leading 28 building projects under her father’s development company to crafting over 100+ design-led environments of her own, her work stands as a testament to quiet confidence and uncompromising quality

Do you offer both architecture and interior design services?
Yes. We provide end-to-end design services including architecture, interior design, and post-handover styling. We design every space as a cohesive experience — from structural planning to the smallest detail.
Do you take on turnkey projects?
While we design holistically, our execution is managed in collaboration with trusted partners. We work closely with vetted execution companies and monitor the process to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with our design intent.
How involved will I be in the design process?
Very. We begin with in-depth conversations to understand your lifestyle, taste, and aspirations. Every design decision is rooted in your story, with regular reviews and collaboration throughout the process.
What cities or regions do you work in?
Our studio is based in Mumbai, but our design expertise extends across India & Globally.
What is the typical timeline for a project?
While timelines vary depending on the project’s scale and complexity, most of our projects take 6–8 months from concept to completion. For architecture-led projects with execution, timelines may be longer.
How do you ensure quality and detailing?
We provide comprehensive documentation including plumbing, electrical, and material details, and maintain close coordination with vendors and contractors. Every client also receives a Memory Book, Cleaning Manual, and Product Sample Hamper to ensure clarity and post-handover care.
What makes Lines & Grooves different from other studios?
Beyond our aesthetic, it’s our approach. We don’t just design — we immerse, observe, and personalize. Our practice is rooted in emotional intelligence, ethical values (no commissions), sustainable action (tree replantation with WeGrow), and ongoing client care — including a full year of maintenance after handover.
